When I posted a picture of one of Bradlee's handprints on a cinnamon ornament, everyone started asking for the recipe! So here it is!
We've done this each year with Bradlee- and this year was Taylors first time! :) It really is SO easy. I measure out the ingredients and Bradlee makes it!
Cinnamon Ornaments
2 cups flour
1 cup salt
1 cup cinnamom
1 1/2 cups water
Mix dry ingredients together
Add water to form dough.
This is what your dough should look like- knead several times before rolling out.
Dust work surface with cinnamon and roll to a 1/4"-3/4" thickness, depending on your preferences. Use cookie cutters, paper templates or your favorite little helpers hands. :) Remember to poke a hole or two in each ornament before baking so you have a way to hang it! (we use a straw)
TIP: For handprints, we like to cut out whatever shape (circle usually) and then press handprints in once the shape is ON the cookie sheet. (its a little bit hard to move them once you press your hand into it and moving it sometimes messes up the print)
(This is Taylor's first one)
Bake at 300ยบ for 45-60 minutes, watching carefully toward the end of the baking time. Allow to cool and harden completely before hanging. May be sealed with wax or poly if desired.
Then hang on your tree year after year! :)

I absolutely can not wait to make these for my new grandbaby coming in 3 weeks. We are having a surprise so I will have to wait to see if we have a Nora or an Owen! I am so glad for links to your designs. I have tried for hours to copy them and never could find a circle. Thanks so much Brit, you are very talented
